Maggie Luo Qi, Chief Representative, Asia-Pacific, Sina Finance Global

Maggie Luo Qi is a senior media profession in Hong Kong. She started Hong Kong Financial Institutions Awards(HKFIA) and HKFIA Forum in 2019, which become one of the most influential financial events in Hong Kong every year. Also she organised and hosted the workshops and sub-forums in several signature events in Hong Kong and all over the world, such as World Economic Forum in Davos, Asian Financial Forum, StartmeupHK Festival, Hong Kong Fintech Week and etc.

Maggie Luo Qi graduated with a Master of Arts degree in International Business Journalism from Hong Kong Baptist University. She used to be a senior correspondent in China Business News, focusing on the news of listed companies, stock exchanges and regulators.

Kailin Li is business director of Startup Salad. She operates an Open Innovation platform to help entrepreneurs transform innovation into marketable products and services by working together with more than 50 well known international corporations.

In just 5 years, more than half a million innovators from 64 countries and regions have joined the Startup Salad community.

Kailin was included in the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 list of important young innovators in China. She is also keyboard player & singer in the band BLACK.

Sam Wong, General Manager of TusPark Hong Kong. Sam joined TusPark (Tsinghua University Science Park) since 2013, focusing on project incubation, venture investment and strategic acquisition. He has been in charge of TusPark HK since September 2018, with the mission to build an ecosystem for Hong Kong startups and establish a hub where different startup communities can collaborate and transform technology idea to business venture through TusPark global network of resources. Before joining TusPark, Sam was an corporate finance specialist providing financial advisory on merger and acquisition, corporate restructuring, fund raising activities and initial public offering for listed company in Hong Kong.
Sam is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Master of Finance degree from the University of Hong Kong. He has also served as judge and venture capitalist for different startup competitions, eg. NVIDIA’s Inception Program, Startup Launchpad Investment Competition, IPIEC Global etc

Lap Man is Co-founder & Managing Partner of Beyond Ventures, a Hong Kong-based venture capital fund established by several serial Hong Kong entrepreneurs together with eGarden Ventures, a technology/media/telecoms-focused venture capital company with a 20-year investment track record in mainland China. The fund is also supported by leading investment company Hony Capital, which manages more than US$10 billion in assets. Since 2018, Beyond Ventures has appointed Co-investment Partner to the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund (ITVF).

He is also Founder and former CEO of DYXnet Group, Greater China’s leading carrier-neutral network service provider, which launched in 1999. The company now runs some network POPs (points-of-presence) and serves geographies that include Greater China, Singapore and Vietnam.

Before founding DYXnet Group, Man was one of the minds behind LinkAGE Online, which became Hong Kong’s largest corporate Internet service provider before being acquired by PSINet in 1998.

Man was honoured in the “Capital Leaders of Excellence” awards scheme in 2009 and appeared two years later in the “Excellence in Achievement of World Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs” rankings organised by the World Federation of Chinese Entrepreneurs Organization.

He was a winner in the 2012 “Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards” and later won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year China award in 2016.

Man graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese Studies and became interested in the Internet during an exchange program at Japan’s Sophia University in 1993.

Dave was born and raised in Hong Kong and attended university in mainland China. He co-founded Beeplus with his schoolmates after graduation. In five years time, Beeplus has set up 30+ incubators, co-working spaces and offices in 12 cities, managing one hundred thousand square meters office space. He was awarded the title of “Top 10 Good Youth of Shenzhen” and Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2020.

Dr. Frank Pun is the Project & Operations Manager of Insilico Medicine HK Ltd., one of the world’s leading AI for drug discovery companies with several breakthroughs and industry “firsts”. Dr. Pun is leading a team of application scientists in Hong Kong working on the AI-enabled biological target discovery platform – PandaOmics. His goal is to deliver the latest AI technology to scientists, medical doctors, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical companies around the world to help find actionable therapeutic targets, and accelerate drug discovery and development.

Before joining Insilico, Dr. Pun was the CEO of PharmacoGenetics Ltd., a biotechnology company in Hong Kong focusing on genomic sequencing and diagnostic product development. Prior to PharmacoGenetics Dr. Pun served in roles of increasing responsibility at Prudential Financial, AIA, and Everest Holding Ltd. He received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2010. Upon graduation, Frank served as a visiting scholar, leading a team to study human CNS diseases and cancer for years. Afterward, he received his MBA from Rutgers Business School in the US.

Ben manages and drives the strategy of Eureka Nova, a leading open innovation platform that empowers technology startups to co-create within the New World Group ecosystem of culture, creativity and innovation. Through Eureka Nova’s accelerator programs, open competitions and sandboxes, participating startups work with New World Group’s business units and corporate partners to design innovative technologies that solve real business problems. Ben also co-founded Impact Kommons, the first UNSDG accelerator in APAC focused on accelerating impact with purpose-driven startups.

Prior to Eureka Nova, Ben founded Startup Launchpad, now Asia’s largest I.o.T. startup trade event. He has helped startups raise more than $2 million on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. He is an angel investor and regularly mentors in startup support programs.

Vittorio is executive chairman and co-founder of Velotrade, a Hong Kong-based online marketplace that brings together businesses willing to sell their trade receivables with investors willing to advance funds.

He originally moved to Hong Kong in 2008 and became the Head of Equity Derivatives Brokerage at Louis Capital Markets.

Previously Vittorio worked in several professional banking and finance industry roles. He joined Bank of America London as a Managing Director and co-head of the Equity Derivatives Trading team. At JP Morgan and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in London he was an Equity Derivatives trader.

Vittorio graduated in 1993 from Bocconi University of Milan in Monetary Economics.

Sarah Garner is the Founder of www.retykle.com, the leading platform for buying and selling pre-loved designer children’s & maternity fashion. Before starting Retykle, Sarah worked in senior management roles at some of the world’s best luxury fashion companies including Lane Crawford, DFS (LVMH), Shanghai Tang (Richemont) & Holt Renfrew. Retykle is an innovative circular retail model that benefits the lives of parents, the community, and the environment.

With a multi-dimensional background and experience in emerging technology, social innovation and community arts in New York City, Hong Kong, Berlin & Abu Dhabi, Dorothy leads with new perspectives of how businesses can integrate creative and alternative solutions to solve today’s social issues. She has worked with the UNICEF Office of Innovation, New York University and founded other ventures prior to Dream Impact.

Rhaime is the COO of Rice Robotics, an autonomous robotics startup in Hong Kong building multifunctional delivery, disinfection and patrol robots that can navigate, operate elevators and charge without help. Prior to Rice, Rhaime was a VC at Van Wickle Ventures and served as deputy CMO at the pre-IPO fund Central Exchange. Rhaime holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Brown University.

Jo is the Investor Relations Director of AngelHub, the first Hong Kong SFC-licensed startup investment platform. She has led and developed strategies for over 10 startup fundraising across different industries e.g. blockchain, fintech, foodtech and sustainability-tech. Through launching business development initiatives with strategic partners and co-investors, she has a significant role in building a strong startup investment community across Asia. She is also an analyst at Shaper Impact Capital, part of the Global Shaper Community (an initiative of the World Economic Forum) which connects capital to impactful startups globally.

Prior to joining AngelHub, Jo worked in a blockchain conglomerate and a Hong Kong listed company where she earned capital investment experiences and built extensive investor relations. She is particularly passionate about sustainable investments, especially in the areas of foodtech, fintech solutions and coffee infrastructure improvement.

Raymond Wong, Head of Investment, Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP), manages the HKSTP Corporate Venture Fund and Investment & Business Support departments. He has over 25 years of extensive financial services experience in capital investment, portfolio management, mergers and acquisition as well as strategic investment across different sectors in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to HKSTP, Raymond was the Principal in HPEF Capital Partners which is an ex-HSBC private equity firm. Prior to HSBC, Raymond worked in the capital investment and investment banking divisions of ABN AMRO Bank. Previously, he had software development experience at IBM Laboratory in Toronto, Canada. Raymond is a member of the Venture Committee, Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.
Raymond obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science (Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing) from University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia Business School, New York.

Tony joined Gobi’s Hong Kong office in 2016, and currently focuses on building Hong Kong and Southern China Greater Bay Area (GBA) startup ecosystems, as well as the Southeast Asia and the Middle East markets. He is part of managing the Alibaba Hong Kong Entrepreneurs Fund (AHKEF) for which Gobi is the exclusive General Partner. Tony has accumulated extensive experience in growing high-tech businesses from his two previous startups related to financial technology (FinTech) and enterprise solution in big data. He led the overall product roadmap and management, business development, operation, technical infrastructure design and implementation, user experience design as well as fundraising for both of the companies. Tony received his B.Eng. in Computer Engineering and B.B.A. in Financial Engineering double degree programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Edith is a General Partner at Race Capital – an early-stage Silicon Valley venture capital fund. A few sectors we are particularly interested in infrastructure, fintech, and deep tech verticals. She has invested in over 50 startups including Agora.io (Nasdaq: API), Lightyear/Stellar (valued $1.2B), Silk Labs (acquired by Apple), Chirp (acquired by Apple), Fleksy (acquired by Pinterest), Human (acquired by Mapbox), Solana, Oasis Labs, Hooked, DayDayCook, AISense, and many more. Prior to Race Capital, Edith was a partner at 500 Startups, the world’s most active early-stage fund and incubator invested in Twilio, Credit Karma, Grab, and 2000 more companies. Before 500, Edith was the general manager at Dolphin Browser, a Sequoia-backed mobile browser with over 150 million installs worldwide. Edith also worked with many Fortune 500 companies such as Siebel, AMS, AT&T Wireless, and Autodesk. She frequently speaks on China and Silicon Valley technology and investment landscape. She is also a frequent guest lecturer at Berkeley and Stanford and commentator on BBC, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, SCMP, Techcrunch, etc.

Queenie is the Vice President of C Ventures, leading investments in the global consumer space including fashion, beauty and lifestyle sectors. Prior to joining C Ventures, she worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Equity Capital Markets team based in Hong Kong, executing equity offerings across sectors in the Asia Pacific Region. Queenie holds the degree of a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Mr. Peng is a seasoned business development veteran and management professional with 20 years’ hands on experience. He has deep understanding of the I&T ecosystem and general business environment in Hong Kong and the Mainland China. He is enthusiastic in I&T sector, covering biomedical, smart city, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Cloud, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics. Besides of I&T, he is also passionate in promoting the sustainability, ESG and CSR, impact investment concepts and good practices to the business community.
Prior to InvestHK, Mr. Peng was the Director, Manufacturing & Service Branch (Corporate) of Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). He is familiar with ISO certification standards and international supply chain management and assessment, such as ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, ISO22000, ISO27001, TL9000, ISO13485, SA8000, BSCI, ESG and Green Finance Certification etc. He led and active involved in the development, consultation, implementation of the new standards, certification system and registration schemes, covering finance, construction, recycling, elderly care, wine, start-up, fintech and supply chain sectors.

Mr. Peng holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
