Before engaging in the fintech segment in mid 2017, Alan was the Head of Commodities at HSBC Hong Kong, and the Greater China Regional Head of Commodities Trade and Agri-business at Standard Chartered Bank respectively. Given Alan’s expertise and professional background, he was appointed as an Expert Witness in a litigation case related to commodities financing under trial in the High Court of Hong Kong SAR (2017 to 2020).

Julio Pazo is a C-level executive and entrepreneur. BA in Economics & MA degree, SMP in IE University. Broad experience in multinational corporations in Sales and marketing and general management. More than 10 years experience as CEO and BoD member in sectors such as industrial automation, renewables, IT , infrastructure and trade and consultancy. Former International Business Director at CORREOS.

Ben manages and drives the strategy of Eureka Nova, a leading open innovation platform that empowers technology startups to co-create within the New World Group ecosystem of culture, creativity and innovation. Through Eureka Nova’s accelerator programs, open competitions and sandboxes, participating startups work with New World Group’s business units and corporate partners to design innovative technologies that solve real business problems. Ben also co-founded Impact Kommons, the first UNSDG accelerator in APAC focused on accelerating impact with purpose-driven startups.

Prior to Eureka Nova, Ben founded Startup Launchpad, now Asia’s largest I.o.T. startup trade event. He has helped startups raise more than $2 million on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. He is an angel investor and regularly mentors in startup support programs.

Vittorio is executive chairman and co-founder of Velotrade, a Hong Kong-based online marketplace that brings together businesses willing to sell their trade receivables with investors willing to advance funds.

He originally moved to Hong Kong in 2008 and became the Head of Equity Derivatives Brokerage at Louis Capital Markets.

Previously Vittorio worked in several professional banking and finance industry roles. He joined Bank of America London as a Managing Director and co-head of the Equity Derivatives Trading team. At JP Morgan and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in London he was an Equity Derivatives trader.

Vittorio graduated in 1993 from Bocconi University of Milan in Monetary Economics.

Sarah Garner is the Founder of www.retykle.com, the leading platform for buying and selling pre-loved designer children’s & maternity fashion. Before starting Retykle, Sarah worked in senior management roles at some of the world’s best luxury fashion companies including Lane Crawford, DFS (LVMH), Shanghai Tang (Richemont) & Holt Renfrew. Retykle is an innovative circular retail model that benefits the lives of parents, the community, and the environment.

With a multi-dimensional background and experience in emerging technology, social innovation and community arts in New York City, Hong Kong, Berlin & Abu Dhabi, Dorothy leads with new perspectives of how businesses can integrate creative and alternative solutions to solve today’s social issues. She has worked with the UNICEF Office of Innovation, New York University and founded other ventures prior to Dream Impact.

Rhaime is the COO of Rice Robotics, an autonomous robotics startup in Hong Kong building multifunctional delivery, disinfection and patrol robots that can navigate, operate elevators and charge without help. Prior to Rice, Rhaime was a VC at Van Wickle Ventures and served as deputy CMO at the pre-IPO fund Central Exchange. Rhaime holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Brown University.

Jo is the Investor Relations Director of AngelHub, the first Hong Kong SFC-licensed startup investment platform. She has led and developed strategies for over 10 startup fundraising across different industries e.g. blockchain, fintech, foodtech and sustainability-tech. Through launching business development initiatives with strategic partners and co-investors, she has a significant role in building a strong startup investment community across Asia. She is also an analyst at Shaper Impact Capital, part of the Global Shaper Community (an initiative of the World Economic Forum) which connects capital to impactful startups globally.

Prior to joining AngelHub, Jo worked in a blockchain conglomerate and a Hong Kong listed company where she earned capital investment experiences and built extensive investor relations. She is particularly passionate about sustainable investments, especially in the areas of foodtech, fintech solutions and coffee infrastructure improvement.

Raymond Wong, Head of Investment, Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP), manages the HKSTP Corporate Venture Fund and Investment & Business Support departments. He has over 25 years of extensive financial services experience in capital investment, portfolio management, mergers and acquisition as well as strategic investment across different sectors in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to HKSTP, Raymond was the Principal in HPEF Capital Partners which is an ex-HSBC private equity firm. Prior to HSBC, Raymond worked in the capital investment and investment banking divisions of ABN AMRO Bank. Previously, he had software development experience at IBM Laboratory in Toronto, Canada. Raymond is a member of the Venture Committee, Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.
Raymond obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science (Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing) from University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia Business School, New York.

Edith is a General Partner at Race Capital – an early-stage Silicon Valley venture capital fund. A few sectors we are particularly interested in infrastructure, fintech, and deep tech verticals. She has invested in over 50 startups including Agora.io (Nasdaq: API), Lightyear/Stellar (valued $1.2B), Silk Labs (acquired by Apple), Chirp (acquired by Apple), Fleksy (acquired by Pinterest), Human (acquired by Mapbox), Solana, Oasis Labs, Hooked, DayDayCook, AISense, and many more. Prior to Race Capital, Edith was a partner at 500 Startups, the world’s most active early-stage fund and incubator invested in Twilio, Credit Karma, Grab, and 2000 more companies. Before 500, Edith was the general manager at Dolphin Browser, a Sequoia-backed mobile browser with over 150 million installs worldwide. Edith also worked with many Fortune 500 companies such as Siebel, AMS, AT&T Wireless, and Autodesk. She frequently speaks on China and Silicon Valley technology and investment landscape. She is also a frequent guest lecturer at Berkeley and Stanford and commentator on BBC, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, SCMP, Techcrunch, etc.

Queenie is the Vice President of C Ventures, leading investments in the global consumer space including fashion, beauty and lifestyle sectors. Prior to joining C Ventures, she worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Equity Capital Markets team based in Hong Kong, executing equity offerings across sectors in the Asia Pacific Region. Queenie holds the degree of a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Tony joined Gobi’s Hong Kong office in 2016, and currently focuses on building Hong Kong and Southern China Greater Bay Area (GBA) startup ecosystems, as well as the Southeast Asia and the Middle East markets. He is part of managing the Alibaba Hong Kong Entrepreneurs Fund (AHKEF) for which Gobi is the exclusive General Partner. Tony has accumulated extensive experience in growing high-tech businesses from his two previous startups related to financial technology (FinTech) and enterprise solution in big data. He led the overall product roadmap and management, business development, operation, technical infrastructure design and implementation, user experience design as well as fundraising for both of the companies. Tony received his B.Eng. in Computer Engineering and B.B.A. in Financial Engineering double degree programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
