We decided to set up an office in Hong Kong as it is one of the best cities in the world to incorporate, where government support is strong, taxes are lower and a deep and diverse talent pool is available.

With the unpredictable circumstances that we have been facing since last year, it has certainly tested most founders’ resilience and their company’s ability to survive. My advice to startups in Hong Kong is to get familiar with the government funding schemes available here and start preparing for them as soon as possible since the application procedures can take time. The government of Hong Kong provides a lot of support for startups so it is worth looking into different programmes available.
